2. Products and Pricing
- Currency: All prices on our website are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP/£) and include UK Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current applicable rate.
- Accuracy: We make every effort to display product colors and textures accurately. As many flooring products are natural materials, slight variations in color, grain, and texture may occur.
- Pricing Errors: We reserve the right to cancel orders placed for products listed at an incorrect price due to typographical errors or supplier price adjustments.
3. Orders, Invoicing and Payment
- Payment is processed securely at checkout via our authorized payment gateway (Takepayments). We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard). We do not store your payment card details.
- Formal quotes, billing communications, and trade fitting invoices will be issued from
invoices@edinburghflooringshop.com.
- Order receipts and dispatch updates will be sent automatically via
orders@edinburghflooringcompany.com.
- A contract between us is formed once we send you a confirmation email that the goods have been dispatched.
4. Flooring Trade Terms & Fitting Policy
- Acclimatization & Inspection: All natural wood, engineered wood, and laminate products must be acclimatized in the room of installation for a minimum of 48–72 hours prior to fitting, per manufacturer guidelines. You must inspect all materials for defects, shade variations, or damage before installation.
- Fitter & Installation Costs: We strongly advise against booking floor fitters until your order has physically arrived and been fully inspected. Edinburgh Flooring Shop Ltd accepts no liability for third-party fitter costs, lost earnings, or project delays caused by delivery schedules or damaged goods. Once flooring has been cut, altered, or fitted, it is deemed accepted and cannot be returned for change of mind.
- Batch & Color Variations: Natural timber and real wood veneers naturally vary. Sample swatches are indicative only, and exact batch matches to store samples cannot be guaranteed.
5. Bespoke and Made-to-Measure Items
In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the right to return or cancel an order without reason does not apply to bespoke, custom-cut, or made-to-measure flooring products unless faulty.
6. Limitation of Liability
Edinburgh Flooring Shop Ltd (trading as Edinburgh Flooring Company) shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profit or delays in project completion, arising out of the use or inability to use our products or website. Our maximum liability to you shall be strictly limited to the purchase price of the product.
7. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
